i dont actually go around smelling womens bully buttons maybe their belly buttons but then thats wrong you can get arrested doing stuff like that in the street.
Maybe if as you said if girls belly buttons do smell maybe it has something to do with it been connected to the fallopian tube when pregnant, and this carries to and from products the baby wants or dont want.
men probably have fluff in theirs due to all the friction between the t shirt materials and body hair, this then creates fibres to loosen off and then fall / move into a non frictioning area ie belly button

I constantly concept it replaced into because of the fact various human beings positioned on denims - blue denim = blue fibres. additionally maximum women human beings positioned on hipsters at present so the denims are not over the navel and for this reason the fluff doesnt get in there - thats my concept besides.

the belly button, or navel, only smells if its got moisture in it. Mine once got crusty (with a smell 2 it) when i was a teenager and i freaked out cause i am a very clean person, my mum said i needed to dry it out properly, and voila! it worked! as for men, they're just dirty...ewwww

they do smell yeh, its pretty bad.
my bloke always has blue fluff in his belly button.
when i had my navel pierced it really smelt but its not as bad now except when i change the ring.

that blue stuff is called lint. womens belly buttons smell beaucse they dont clean them.
Same 4 men. 2 keep ur belly buttons use a q-tip and rubbing acchol.

It is becaue of sweet in that area where the naturally sweet came and make it wet. However, we have to clean it regularly.
