Yes powdered flower is very explosive in fact. NEVER try to use it to put out a fire. I was given a demonstration of the effect in firefighter training.

when the powder from flour is floating in the air it can combust. just setting a match to a pile of flour will not catch it on fire.

No; that's why it's recommended to put out grease fires in the kitchen. It will turn brown or black but not burst into flame.
