you missed some zeros. it is approximately 500 miles of wiring in the C-17A Globemaster III

There is most probably less wiring in that aircraft than most older large USAF aircraft, due to the newer systems that use data buses to transfer information between systems and locations. Older aircraft have a wire for almost every signal.

I fly the C-5, we have even more wiring than a C-17. I'm not sure how many miles though.
