I was considering having my niece as my "Lordess of Rings" meaning she would act as my ring bearer. Do you think this is a good name for that or do you think I should give her another name?

I think that is a bit over the top. Why not just call her your ring bearer? You could also list it in your program as Ring Princess.

She can still be the "ring bearer" because the title refers to no specific gender. Don't worry about having a girl doing it. Maybe send the flower girl and the girl holding the rings down at the same time. What a cute sight! Plus, it will be another thing that will make your wedidng unique!

having a little girl for your ring bearer is certainly a wonderful idea, but unless youre trying to get "elvish" I would go with something else. If you wanted to you could still use ring bearer, it is gender nuetral. People just associate it with little boys.

If you ARE trying to go "elvish" (and I am not trying to imply that this is bad or inappropriate in any way) then I would go with "Lady of the Rings" as mentioned in Seti's post. It is more "girlish" which I imagine will appeal to the child as well.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a girl filling the role, but you can still call her a "ring bearer". Imo, "Lordess of the Rings" is super cheesy and something you will regret in about 2 years.

I think using a little girl would be fine . . and you could still call her the "ring bearer" . . you don't have to give her a different title, that is unless you just want to . . .

No. You can still call her the ring bearer. They are traditionally boys, but the title itself doesn't signify a particular gender like
flower girl does.

I would not call her that, but I like the idea of including her in that manner. I would just call her the ring bearer, thats what she is!

Just name her the "Ring Bearer".

That would be fine if you are having a mideivil wedding or something... otherwise, I'd look for something else...

In fact, I wouldn't call her anything other than ring bearer (no one says it has to be a boy!) and have her and the flower girl walk in together... one with a beautiful, frilly fancy pillow... the other with a fancy basket.

"Ring Bearer" isn't gender-specific. It just means a person who is carrying the ring.
