I live in London, and i would like to know if I'm allowed to carry my dog (cocker spaniel) on my 50cc scooter

I have a cocker spaniel and i'm wondering if it's ilegal to put her on the carrier and take her on the scooter with me, it's a 50cc scooter.

To be on the safe side, you shouldn't carry your pet dog on
your 50cc scooter when you're riding it, because you may be
booked for an illegal offence. However, check it up with the
London police station or the road transport department on the
legality of carrying animals on scooters.
