DONT do platinum blonde! i did that and they turned nasty yellow!! dont do pink becuase they turn orange.. i did red and they were ok for a white but they eventually turned orange. I say do like a dark red and keep on on it before it turns orange and you'll be fine :)

Purple, lighter streaks of red or dark blonde...Just a few to highlight your face. I saw someone with a deep burgundy cherry color that looked great, too.

Try a dark brown hue for your highlights. But if you want them to stand out a lot, use blonde highlights. But I do recommend dark brown highlights.

go only a few shades lighter. don't go too light or it won't look natural. and you should definetly go to a salon, because very few people can do good, natral looking highlights at home. oh, and temporary hair color usually doesn't work well when it's going lighter.

It would help to have an actual picture in order to make an accurate answer...however, there is a girl at my office that adds kind of a light purple to her hair. Not too jazzy and it is beautiful.

dark red that can even approach purple. Anything lighter in black hair tends to look weird in my opinion.

Go a couple shades lighter than your hair color.

has anyone mentioned that your hair seems to have a blue or purple hue to it in the sun-light? if so, you could try adding dark-blue or purple to it to kind-of highten the effect and still have it go well together....depending on if you like the colors blue or purple, ofcourse
