Yes. And the same is true of a righteous man.

Absolutely true. A wicked man does not put his trust in God, thus he has no power. If he is not right with God by the time he perishes, there is no hope of Eternal Salvation for that wicked man's soul.
You, me, the next person, are powerless to save ourselves. We cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven on our own accord. Truth is, even the best we can do falls woefully short of actually deserving Eternal Life. That is why we have to place our trust in God. If we do that, and do our best to live life according to His teaching, He will be merciful to that soul who recognized in this life, that we need His Sanctifying Grace not to perish in the next.

It was written by some old man as a saying. Like the rest of the bible, it is made up. However, in this case, it is true because when you die, you are dead and gone and there is no afterlife, but then it also applies to the non-wicked or nice guy.

I would say so. A wicked man will not inherit a place in Heaven and he cannot take his power he was given on earth with him. All hope of being in the same position he was in is certainly gone.

The bible is just a bunch of hooey thought up by some old guys who were looking for a way to maintain control of their people. There is nothing after death but dirt and worms.

Hi Ken,
This verse is certainly true.
Let me give you an illustration, (although it's a bit long bear with me please). I and many other persons in my city knew personally or knew of a young psychic/occultist who came to great notoriety through his radio and television programmes. He was also a well-known homosexual (nothing negative intended) and his behaviour considered outrageous. Many men in particular in my country are terribly 'homophobic', although its more of a posture than an actual threat to gays here and human rights belong to everbody. (No person is above the law)!
Nevertheless Safa's behaviour was widely known to be promiscuous and it was said how his office had pictures of penis's on the walls suggesting some symbolical worship of the phallus. Also he appeared proud of his 'magic' which I guess was a good thing and he would visit a particualr sportsbar with 'friend(s)' cut from the same cloth. Anyway he was not alone in this. He said publicly that his 'magic'/ psychic abilities were real.
It sounds like a no brainer but he was a very controversial public figure, although 'in real time' he had only recently burst onto the public scene. Several persons called unto his programmes weekly requesting help/direction with their lives, future etc. He gave the distinct impression on tv that he considered himself to be a Guru of some sort. Almost always if not always, he wore a white turban which helped to promote this belief.
Well public life here is in constnt flux, (as everywhere these days), it changes constantly yet many things remain the same; especially politics, the economy, crime and religion.
Today 'Safa' is dead. He was either mutilated, chopped &/or badly beat up and his body thrown into a pit or gully or gorge of some kind by people it is alleged that he knew, and reportedly not for religious reasons. Sometimes in homosexual deaths it is said here to be as a result of 'lovers quarrel'. .Anyway for sometime afterwords it was rumored that Safa did not live well with his neighbours or whoever did him in. In otherwards he had a no care; invincible 'ATTITUDE',quite possibly like he, Safa, was saying 'stay far' and 'don't mess with me' in one breath and in another breath 'let me help you'. He was confused.
Unfortunately it has been several years (7 or less) and 'Safa' for all his hype and fame is no more. No more in the news, no more on radio, no more on tv, no more in public, no more in peoples minds (the collective conscience of sympathy or empathy). It is a shame how people do not remeber or celebrate his memory. He is gone and long forgotten, (the world is moving too fast to remember him). He has no recourse, no one to speak up on his behalf. Those who mourned his passing and still remeber him are quite possibly immediate family, a sorrowful mother, siblings and friends who may be confused still as to why?
This situation is repeated weekly and monthly in terms of many criminals, gangs and don's (in the'Scarface'/Al Pachino tradition), local don's/so called 'area leaders' and their henchmen/colleagues who live by 'the gun' (their status symbol/their pride and joy) and loose their lives early as they try to maintain turf, their drug trade, and other illegal money making activities as well as keep their terrorist hold on the nation by supposedly taking from the rich, (the capitalist) and giving to the poor (the inner city youth ). This it is claimed is in order to fund their own coffers and materialistic ambitions like everybody else, or rather beyond everybody else). And as the Bible says in I Perter 1 :24 in the New Testament, all men/women are like grass, all their glory like blooming flowers in the field, (whoose lives are sometimes exciting and meaningful or hard and difficult) which exist for a short time and then disappear as the winds of time and change blow over us all.
But the memory of the righteous is like an OAK or REDWOOD planted in the GARDEN of the LORD, which according to the Bible remains forever.
Also the memory of the the wicked are forgotten and certainly not remebered often with praise and celebration. (Think about it) When asked about 'Safa' and how he met such a brutal death and how his memory is gone and faded from the land, the average citizen here in the city will repond "How come he 'Safa' did not 'for-see'(r) his own demise? "
The same is said of a former notorious gangster 'Bulbie' (to whom a colleague of mine is related) who died in a hail of bullets or some such thing as a result of a 'sting' operation carried out by the police high command who surrounded his house/fortress either earlier this year or sometime last year.
While as a teenager (I am now 42) the same was said of a notorious badman/gunman called 'copper' who died in a hail of bullets. In my twenties the same was said of "Sand-o-khan' who also died in a hail of bullets. In my thirties it was somebody else. (How quickly time flies).
Give it thought. Who and what is celebrated more throughout history the 'good', or the 'bad'. In the end does good triumph over evil or vice-versa ?Take some time and give it thought, you'll see a pattern emerge.
