On the surface pretty slim. But three years before the Berlin Wall came down only a few specialist political analysts thought the USSR might collapse in so spectacular a fashion. The social fabric is more fragile than most people think. However, in the UK the economy is strong at the moment, and the social fabric, despite the best efforts of some in the media who would have us believe we are sinking beneath a tsunami of crime and illegal immigration, is also strong. On the whole if the UK can ride the wave of change sweeping the planet social and political change will not necessitate a peoples' revolution any time soon. But, who knows what the future may bring.

Pretty dang slim. It's hard to work up popular support for a revolution in a fully developed country, wher the overwhelming majority of the population is well fed and entertained.

I don't deny there are injustices and increasing poverty in the UK and the US (where I'm from.) Its just that any attempt at a takeover by a minority of the populace will be met with strong resistance, not only with the powers, but by the general population. Who will stand still for a revolution that attempts to put the minority in power.

In Latin America, and Asia and Africa, at least the revolutionaries claim to do it for the people, meaning MOST of the people. Effective change in a democracy, even a socialist democracy can only come from within. The structure of the government will actively seek to minimize the changes. It is self preservation, and, therefore, not counter productive.

Tories, then, later Whigs. Republicans, then Democrats, in turns.

There's already been one - only 40% or thereabouts bother to vote in elections! Otherwise there probably won't be a peoples' revolution like the French examples - we're too depressed by paying high taxes on everything including death and too depressed because a very high proportion of the taxes the government collects one way or another just go to their platinum pension schemes, high wages and jollies, whilst we poor lackeys get taxed on our state pensions which increase by peanuts every year! No wonder young people just want to have a good time and get smashed at every opportunity! However, come the peoples' revolution and I have selected and marked lamp posts for various people in high places!!!!

I am not sure what you are trying to get at. If you mean against a government the answer is a resounding no. In this respect I think we are a stable country. However if you are getting at racial tensions I think there is a possibility.I am a moderate man and so is my son but we are both getting very tired of muslims being pampered and the attitude that they must not be upset at any cost. I am not talking about all muslims but when one of them can rant and rave with anti British garbage while the home secretary is trying to speak is not acceptable. If a senior muslim was speaking say at a mosque and I ranted and raved outside against Islam I would be arrested. The way things are going there is only one winner and that is the BNP.

There seems to a common theme amoungst your questions, this is an anti-establishment theme.

Revolution in the UK happens through the ballot box for example in my life time the Tories swept to power in 1979 and were able to enact lots of changes that made Britain the country it is today.

Then again in 1997 when Labour won the election with the biggest majority in over a century.

Pretty slim. The vast majority are so apathetic the revolution would simply be ignored.
