I live in California, and did the web payment option for the second ticket. It still allows me to do traffic school even though my last ticket was 10 months ago. The first ticket was in a different county which is why i'm guessing they have no record. Not sure what is recorded by DMV.

So when would I find out if DMV would not allow this? After I've paid all my fees and did the driving school?

So you are saying you didn't take it seriously the first time? Don't worry, they will take that into account when they assess your punishment!

Nope, they do that as an automatic thing. Once you apply to take Traffic School a second time in the same State, the DMV notices when you last took it and will deny your request. You will not be able to take traffic school within 18 months of each other, unless there is a major screw up in the DMV. You can try, but I doubt they will let you.
