Most programs are removed under add/remove programs in the Control Panel. Some have an uninstall option in the "all programs" list. You should be able to delete from the "all programs" list and not uninstall.

right click and delete the program's short cut from the menu...
If you want to make sure it disappear's from a perticular user's menu, follow these steps
1. right click on "start"
2. Choose properties. there should be two tabs, namely taskbar and start menu
3. Click customize in the start menu tab
4. Click "advanced" in this screen..it should be 3rd from the top
5. Choose the user name and scroll to start menu > programs
6. Add or remove short cuts from this screen
if you dont see the short cut in the perticular user's screen, go to all users > start menu > programs. the link would be there...
Have fun...buzz me if you need more help

Go to Start Menu \ All Programs
Drag the program you want to hide to the desktop.
and then delete it or backup it as you like. Backup if you want to restore for future use.
That's the easy way.
Here is a alternative, Go to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
if there is the program you want to do, just do it.
if not , try this path.
C:\Documents and Settings\CURRENT_USER_NAME\Start Menu\Programs
where "CURRENT_USER_NAME" is the name of the user u logged on...........
