The Type 2(up to 79) all had cables. The Vanagoon(80 to 92) has a hydraulic clutch that uses the same reservoir as the brake master. Its under the instrument panel cover, just pull it up and you will see it.

Type 25 is in the instrument cluster housing, but if it's empty first pull the rubber boot from around the slave(n/s, top of the gearbox just behind bellhousing)and see if any fluid has leaked past the piston seal.
replace slave if it has and bleed system.
