it really depends on what i am making sometimes its saffron...or cocoa...bourbon or sherry......nutmeg....mint....cardamon..sugar ..dijon mustard fish sauce..anchovies crushed....mexican vanilla.. .i have quite a few...there is more...as i stated it what is being pepared....now its not a secret

It all depends on what I am cooking....for meats and marinades it has to be ranch dressing....I also add a little ranch to bbq dishes....I also use the hidden valley ranch dip mix...its a dry powder...it works great when adding to meat rubs and such...
For deserts....I really don' t know....I pretty much bake to the recipes I have gotten from family and the like, mostly from grandma....

Go to a middle eastern grocery store and buy Fenugreek powder. Use this sparingly in pasta dishes, chili, meatloaf, meatballs, etc. It's great. Everyone will complement you and beg you for your recipe!

when I bake I put at least 2 times the amount of vanilla in what ever I am backing but it is great in Custer pie.and it gives more flover to most any thing you bake.
