Hey, do you think if rabbits could call jihad, we'd all be blown up for watching bugs bunny?
Seriously, this is a tragedy. Now with North Korea tripping even more than they already were, it seems certain that WW3 is just around the corner, and the Muslims will have plenty of allies to side with even if motives differ.
Sad to say, many will probably die because of silly cartoons. Hell yes, they need to lighten up, but it's well beyond that now. The pendulum has gained too much momentum. Something is going to happen. You can taste it.

Of course they need to calm down. Do Christians raise a fuss over depictions of Christ? Do Buddhists chop heads off when we rub his belly for a wish? Do Hindus get mad when we high 5 all four hands of their god? No, only do the practitioners of peace get riled up over every little thing. They fight within themselves over their own believes. Ramadan happened on a Tuesday. NO! It was on a Wednesday! So they cut their own throats. Have you ever seen a Lutheran and a Baptist throw bombs at each other like the Sunni and Shiites? What kind of religion is Islam? Defiantly not one of peace as they clam they are. But instead a religion that kills and converts by the sword and violence. They clam to be a tolerant religion? Then tolerate a little cartoon. They clam that only they are enlightened and we need to understand their Allah. Allah means God. He’s the same god as the Hebrew God. The same God that spawned their religion. How come they don’t follow God’s law, THOW SHALL NOT KILL?

The prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was given the option by Gabriel to destroy a town which had humiliated him and stoned him. He chose not to detroy them and instead made a dua (prayer) for them to accept there is only one god.
I am a Muslim revert. I believe that we should pray for those who make fun of the religion because their eyes haven't been opened like our eyes and hopefuly Allah will put the religion in their hearts. I believe in making dua for all of humanity to be forgiven and let into Jenna (Heaven).
I don't think it is wrong for Muslims to be unhappy about the cartoons and to voice their opinion. Isn't that the same right the cartoonists have?

Se Fu got it!
For a "Religion of Peace", Muslims do seem to over react to every little thing.
Goodness, can you imagine if Christians decided to bomb someone every time someone insulted Jesus? California wouldn't even exist any more!

It should be stated clearly from every quarter: NO, we are not going to give an inch on our right to free expression. That freedom ALWAYS trumps calls for the "respect" of beliefs. We respect individuals, not ideologies.

Not sure what your beliefs are but for us Prophet Muhammad(pbuh), Jesus,Moses are equally respectable and cartoons depicting any of these prophets would upset Muslims as it should. Why would anyone turn prophets into cartoons..that is disrespecting the religion and it's people. Do you see Muslims putting cartoons of any other religions or prophets...???No, because we respect them all.

Is that still going on? Whatever. Everytime they take to the streets with mobs and fire, because someone has disparaged their "religion of peace", they lose another little bit of my sympathy.
