I'm not quite sure of the date because I think every Church does it when it is convenient but, it does coincide with the feast of St. Blaise. He was the patron Saint of throat disease so look that up and inquire at your Church

God has healing for us every minute of the day, we do not have to wait for a certain day of the year to get a blessing. There are so many healing scriptures in the Bible, and why people do not look them up I can't understand, however in Psalm107:20 It says "He sent His Word and Healed them and delivered them from their destructions," That scripture alone is pretty potent. so when you have a sore throat or any type of sickness, go to Jesus, He is the Word, and He will heal you.
In love,

It's Feb. 3, St. Blaise Day -- but if you really want, you could just go ask a priest to bless your throat any day.

Huh? Sounds just as silly as the rest of the Catholic rigmarole is.I will restrain my X rated sense of humor here, but I'm sure others will not.
