I would like to make gift baskets for family and friends this year for christmas, but I dont know what to do. What are some good themes or ideas for unique and inexpensive gifts?

I just made some gift baskets myself with a bunch of really cool little things from this site called http://www.HomeGrownMarket.com - there is a listing for gifts under $5, gifts under $10...and so on. But there are some cool magnets I got, some interesting soap, cool earrings, and a shlew of other neat stuff! And it's all handcrafted in the USA so I feel good about supporting other small businesses and women in our country!! Hope I've helped!

Some people like to do the recipe thing where they write the recipe on a card then include all the dry/canned ingredients into the basket. You could also do those jar gifts and put the dry ingredients in the jar with the recipe attached.
Or center around a theme, like coffee, gourmet coffes, a mug, those biscuit dipping things, etc. (don't know much about coffee sorry.)
I think doing baskets are fun! good luck

Homemade cookies, breads, cakes, jelly's,coffee mixes are always good in a gift basket. Fruit and nuts, candy canes, homemade candy. Gifts that you make come from the heart, and appreciated by friends and family.

small gift cards, checkbook sized pocket calendars and pen, if possible some pictures of you and them, self made coupon (i.e. for one homecooked meal from you, movie night, babysitting ~you'll notice these are my favorites as they give your time), small ivy plant.....just get creative and personalize them if possible
