It means that in war, you have the worst in people; people going out to kill one another. War also brings out the best in people by causing them to help and care for each other as well as band together as a team.

It means that the best is brought out under horrid circumstances.
men and women do things in war, that in their everyday lives, would not be able to do.Save a dying man, help free a nation.
Yet in war, the worst comes out....and we all know what the worst is...

I think it means that war brings out your true personality that no one else has discovered yet, maybe not even you. If you are fighting in a war, it is your chance to bring yourself out. So, in conclusion, war is a good thing for people to bring themselves out, but for people it isn't because not everyone wants to bring themselves out and show everyone what they true personality is.
Hope what I said isn't confusing to you...
Good luck! And..I hope I get best answer...I'm not trying to be mean or anything.

War by definition makes people fight, kill, maim etc. which are all horrible things that we are capable of. Normal people would never think of doing these things unless that was a war going on. It also unifies a country ( unless it's a civil war),which is a beautiful thing.

When people become involved in war, they tend to exhibit behavior you might not see from them in their everyday life. When lives are threatened, people can become very vicious. People who normally wouldn't hurt anyone will sometimes kill savagely when at war, if they have to.
When their fellow soldiers are in danger, they can also become incredibly brave and heroic.
Being in a position where your life is in danger constantly, or in a position where you might have to take someone else's life, affects you very deeply and can even completely change a person. It tends to drive you to the extremes, both good and bad, of your character.

Well.. simply.. it means that some people join behind the goverment for the support it needs and are willing to help in any way possible.. Others look at it as a means of getting money from people at any cost

I think it means that war brings out the best in people because it brings out courage, trust, loyalty, and teamwork but it also cpsts greife and anger. That's all I can think of.

Wars bring out bravery, dilligence, a sense of community and purpose. They also alienate, maim and turn otherwise decent human beings into animals.
