My mom made them and I want to make them

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add flour, salt and pepper; cook over low heat until bubbly. Gradually add milk and sugar; cook and stir until thickened. Cook peas according to package directions; drain. Stir into the sauce and heat through

Traditionally, creamed peas were made by cooking the peas, draining them, then adding a cream sauce and stirring it in.

An alternate was to mash the peas slightly with the cream sauce, making it similar to creamed corn (but not a lot of people care for this version - its kind of gross looking!).

If you want an easy cream sauce recipe, look on the back of Kingsford's Cornstarch.

Creamed Peas
INGREDIENTS
2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
2/3 cup water
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan, combine peas, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then stir in butter.
In a small bowl, whisk together cream, flour, and sugar. Stir mixture into peas. Cook over medium-high heat until thick and bubbly, about 5 minutes.

add heavy cream to peas and cooked them together not sure just an idea

take a little sugar and a spoonful of cornstarch and mix it with 1 cup of milk salt and pepper and simmer until thick...oh yeah drain the peas so they only have the mixture on them.....you can add chopped onions as my gran did but its your own preferance....i luv them...

my grandmom cooks the peas and then adds a can of campbells mushroom soup

don't know, but you can mix them with velveeta and have cheesy peas.
