It's when someone looks down to the left and makes an arch toward the right, looking up in the middle and going down again to the right. Or vice versa.
It's like an "I can't believe you just said that" reaction.

it means we know he doesn't believe what he is being told, or he thinks the speaker is stupid. Kind of like when teenagers pretend to listen to their parents. It is a sign of disrespect, and my kids and grands usually end up with a smack for doing it.
