When I was a kid, thats what they ALWAYS used!!!
I personally think the nurses were a bunch of sickos! They could use a regular thermometer, but they chose to do it that way instead...
Also, I will NOT fuel your fantasies and sick perversions in the administration of a rectal thermometer... Use your own imagination!

In Denmark where i come from its the ordinary way to take someones temperature.
your simply put some Vaseline on the thermometer, and put in to rectum, let it be there for 3 min. and take it out and read the temperature. Clean the thermometer with methylated spirits

OK, if this is a serious question...I have but not since I was a kid...I am now 52.
My recommendation is to just relax..don't get tense and get through it. It usually takes less time then taking your temperature orally. As as to what you'll where.... obviously something that allows access to the proper orifice.

That is a really, really old method of temp taking. If anyone is persisting on taking your temp like that, they are completely messing with you.

You lay on your side lift one leg and wear either a hospital gown or if UR at home nothing at all..then with one leg ****** insert the anal thermomeper..or have someone do it for U.
