Just curious if anyone really believes this.

Johnnylakis:
If i remember correctly there was still prayer in schools when people were being burned at the stake by the dozens due to accusations of witchcraft... I consider that to be much more evil than anything that is happening today.

I think Christian teens or young adults should have a place in school to go before class where they could pray or hold a bible study. Do I think it would stop school shootings? No. I think the only thing that will do that is parents taking back the reins and paying more attention to what their children are doing and with whom they are associating.

Since Liberals are against this, and anything that doesn't suit their beliefs; a comprimise is best. A three minute quite time during the first class period. This short quite time can be used for prayer, reading or writing.
Liberals are the power brokers, because we gave them the power. Liberals hate religion, but this is just enough within their lines that, it will likely be acceptable.
Doing a mass Christian prayer the liberals would scream "Government is trying to promote religion! AAAAAAHH!!"
But a quite time will do.

I certainly don't believe it. People pray silently all the time, and schools are still being terrorized. Would a ritualized moment of enforced prayer suddenly turn the tables? I sincerely doubt it.

lol no. that a picture from way of the master? careful with that class, they teach the bible but they are a lil tooo evangelical. made my friend nuts. (now none of our friends will hang out with him cause he constantly condemns us all to hell cause we dont believe). anyway prayer wont get rid of school shootings. you'll have those against christianity run in there shooting the people praying , (since when has religion EVER solved anything?)

No, the kids/adults doing the shootings are mentally unbalanced, the only prayer that might work would be if someone were directly praying for them!

I think a metal detector and a sniper at the entrace will get rid of school shootings.

i don't think prayer will "get rid of" school shootings, but i don't see a problem praying or meditating or concentrating positive energy...maybe it will help. maybe not. but people should do so if they want.

Children aren't shooting each other because there isn't prayer in school, they're shooting each other because they r disturbed mentally and no one is getting them the help that they need.

I don't buy it.
The shootings that recently took place at an Amish school prove my point; the Amish pray in school.
