It seems that evolution has come to a stop. Nothing seems to have changed in the last known 5000 years or so. If humanity came from apes/gurillas why they are still existing? Why not they all became human beings? What nature is planning to do on humanity?

None. There have been no steps because evolution is a theory not a fact. If apes were still evolving into man then the last 3 plus generations would have witness this and yet not a one has.
Theory is not fact until it is proven and all their evidence for ape evolving into man has been disproven.

The world has seen man become more and more intelligent. Paranoia is at its peak. The truth is either of these three: we will continue to evolve, be replaced, or be wiped out. The neanderthal was replaced by humans because the world was becoming warmer, and natural selection saw homo sapiens as the fittest. Another key factor was the space left unfilled by the human race. Now that the world has been filled up, where else is there to go? Considering the millions of years that it took to get from Australopithecus to erectus, we could most likely have colonized other planets by the time we as humans show the slightest change. A new niche to be filled would mean a new arrival in the family tree of man. This change would depend on the environment of the the new world. For example, if the new world was high in the amount of UV radiation it recieved, this would force us to become more tolerant of it, or we would die out.
Something I have seen occur in the long line of our species is the decline of hair. A hairless human would most likely be a million years away, and that's implying that we make it that long. There are so many things that put us on razor's edge. Such as the reproductive rate, war (most cases of war are related to the reproductive rate, resources, greed, etc.), and many other things that could easily destroy our race. But before that happens, we should be able to adapt, change, and evolve to whatever nature throws at us.

there was never any 5,000 year time span when evolutionary changes were evident. it takes millions of years for organisms to evolve.

humans didn't come from gorillas, chimps, or any of the other modern apes. instead,, humans, chimps, and apes all come from a common ancestor who is no longer alive.

furthermore, evolution does not work in such a fashion that all members of a given species will evolve individually into a separate members of a new species. if some of the apes who lived 6 million years ago evolved into humans, but others did not change, then there is no way that the others will be able to turn into the same thing that their cousins did. it's not like levels on a video game where all members get to the same higher levels at different times. evolution just doesn't work that way. if you miss the boat, then you have to take a new boat that goes in a new direction. every species is a one-time thing. --- also, it's possible for some species not to change very much.

it is impossible to say where humans are headed. one thing is certain though., we are no longer really subject to natural selection, so the only modifications in the future might be dysgenics.

Wow that's a good question, some might say the we are evolving as we speak, just look at the population humanbodies are getting larger some mith say i its as step in evolution, the reson why it seem we haven't evol in thousand of years is because we haven't had the need to evolve, but with the new posibilies brought by gene therapy the next steep in evolution might not be of a natural course but an artificial one. I think we should lear to make use of the full capacity of our brains
I'am mean no human has even come close to it
that should be the most logical step.

There is in fact concrete evidence that man evolved from apes, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a)deluded, b)a religious fanatic -- and usually they are both.

souce( "Although there is overwhelming scientific consensus supporting the validity of evolution, it has been at the center of many social and religious controversies from its inception because of its potential implications for the origins of humankind."

Evolution does not take place over 3-4 generations, but over hundreds if not thousands of years. Scientists have speculated that the next step for humans will be larger brains, and less hair. Sounds strange, doesn't it? Regarding our hair, the fact is that ir doesn't serve a purpose any more. Read the wikipedia article linked to above.

Not true,
just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening.
First: there is a new species of animals discovered everyday.

second: we evolve in our minds.
A long time ago we were no better than the animals. Living merely for survival. We have evolved, to a thinking race. we harvested crops, and made pottery.
Now we build cars, and Computers.
So maybe the physical evolution is done, but our minds are still growing. Righ now wer use only 10% of our brains. Who's to say in 100 years we won't evolve to 20%.

in our pursuit to survive more than 100 years we will evolve into bionic people -with mechanical parts - heart, lung, bones, ears etc., and one day we will create superhumans with the help of machine and cloned protiens.

I fear that we will create some beings without faces who will do all the dirty work for us and we will just get up every morning, watch tv, go to movies, eat in restaurants, play or watch sports in stadiums and come back home to sleep. Nobody will do any work but cannot do any violence. pretty boring, but that is what humans are capable of doing within the next 1000 years.
And then we can travel around the world once every year and enjoy the gardens of eden.

Imagine a family tree about 2 million years old,at the base of the trunk is the earliest primate then proceeding up to the branches approx. one & ahalf million years ago, nature & natural selection has branched off from this father of primates to evolve into many sucessful try's so far - Homo Sapiens are the most sucessful but moutain gorillas, gibbons etc.are continuing to proliferate. One quick note, countless branches of human evolution have come to a dead end.

bodily human beings have developed as much as they are going to as long because of the fact the earth's ecosystem maintains to be static. Our next degree of evolution is going to be inner, as we hit upon what that sizable thoughts of ours is for. it is lots, much extra brainpower than is mandatory to proceed to exist and procreate as a species. what's all that skill for? what can we hit upon out relating to the excellent subject of being human? First we could use that superb brainpower to create peace and prosperity for all humanity by understanding that mankind is one, and that justice could underpin our collective existence. as quickly as we pass that threshold, our progression would be superb and previous what we are able to conceive interior the context of in the present day's self-imposed limitations. because there's a reciprocal courting between the guy and society, we can not paintings on recuperating in basic terms the guy or the society. We could paintings on them concurrently.

There is no next step for humanity because we coddle the idiots with welfare and other platforms of the socialist state. The stupid people continue reproducing and are not phased out. As insensitive as this may be, one example of natural selection may be when people move back to New Orleans and a second hurricane hits.
