At about three months of age, the deciduous(baby) teeth begin to be replaced by the permanent teeth. The replacement process begins with the incisors, and moves backwards through the canines, premolars and finally the molars. The turnover process is usually complete by the time the dog is eight months old, with none of the original 28 deciduous teeth remaining. Most deciduous teeth are swallowed with food and never seen by the pet owner. Occassionally a deciduous tooth is merely pushed to the side and retained next to the permanent tooth. Retained deciduous teeth can be removed by a veterinarian.
The incisors turn over from deciduous to permanent from two to four months of age. The canines usually convert around six months of age. The premolars and molars follow in that order, with the last permanent molar erupting around eight months of age.
The exact schedule does vary from breed to breed.

They do! I remember finding my puppies baby teeth around the house, stuck in his toys, etc. I was surprised to find out that they have baby teeth just like humans, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure why this seemed so odd!

I would have thought that they do yes. My little kitten has baby teeth although they chew through my hand nicely. Shall be glad when she gets her proper teeth maybe she will stop chewing me then!

Yes they do.
That's why they chew, the adult teeth come in and they itch- same for the baby teeth coming in in young pups.
They just don't come running to you with their baby tooth to put under their pillow for the tooth fairy =)

Puppies have soft teeth ( although they don,t feel like it when there nipping your toes ) they need to harden up , that,s why you should,nt play tug with a puppy or young dog

Yes they do. Their "milk teeth" fall out just like human baby teeth do and are replaced by their permanent teeth.

Of course they do. They will start losing them about 4-6 months old. If they don't you will need to have them extracted or it could ruin their bite!!
