we have home work because the teachers think its cool to put us through 6 hours of school and 6 more after chool..... its so that we can keep the work fresh in our minds and don't forget it the next day. its for practice so we can get better at the exercize. no one likes it..... but you know.... gotta do it

I read recently that homework was a bad idea. The average middle schooler has about two hours of homework a night. And it only gets worse when you get to high school. With so much homework, kids don't get to play as much. They don't get fresh air and excersise like they should and that causes them to have a harder time at remembering things.
When they are doing so much homework for a bunch of different classes, kids tend to just memorize things instead of actually learning and applying them.

Homework is yet another exercise that puts your memory to test when you are not in class. Homework is the best way to remember that what you learned in school will be applied out there. Never quit school if you don't want to end up in a job you don't like or it is low paid. Do what you love and love what you do.

Kids can't always be trusted to study on their own so homework is assigned to force studying in a quantifiable manner.
I didn't "study" at all in high school or college - I just did all the assigned homework and I graduated from high school with a 4.95 out of 5 and from college with a 3.8 out of 4 (and did it a semester early). Like it or not, homework actually works.

They give us homework to see if we understand the material previously covered in class.
Kids and teens have better things to do then just sit at a table doing math or typing a term paper.
I believe that homework is a complete waste of time.

So you can learn lots of stuff which will make it easier for you to get into college where you learn more stuff, making yourself attractive to employers who will pay you lots of money so you can sit in an office and waste time on Yahoo Answers like me.

cause it takes so long to explain the work to you you know they lecture for 45 minutes and then you set there and talk the whole time with your stupid friend and then you go home and sit in front of the computer and ask Q'S

to ensure that you are upto date with the knowledge that you need to possess when it comes to passing your exams.
to also prepare you to do your own research so that should you want to enter the post matric world ...then you can fend for yourself in resaech.
