I think it's Matthew 7:6. Jesus says something like, "Don't give (something) to dogs, don't cast pearls before the swine." Are the dogs or swine Gentiles?

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

What it means is: The Truth that the Almighty has given us is precious. It is the pearl of great price, a priceless gift that is worth more than all the riches of the universe. Because it is precious, it is rare. Narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, and few there be that find it, Matthew 7:13-14.

Some people are hard hearted. Nothing we say will make any difference at all. The hope and life and love that we want to share with them in Jesus Christ is mocked, scorned, thrown away. But what of it. Jesus was mocked, scorned, and thrown away... even as He hung on the cross to pay the penalty, even for those who did mock and scorn Him. He died even for those people too, offerred as a free gift, that can be accepted or tossed away. So, we are not to throw pearls before swine, meaning not to worry about, and keep spending our energy to try to point to the gift of salvation to people who don't want it.

It means don't throw your money away, or give it where it is not appreciated. Some things that your consider value may be worthless to other, and would cause them to turn on you, once they no longer need you.I would think they use a swine as the animal that just cares about himself and nothing else. They do like to live in a great big mess.

What that means is as it is relentlessly shown to be true the with majority of questions and answers in this forum the the swine are those who hear the gospel and treat it like the slop that pigs gobble up. In other words, don't waste your time with replies to those you know are asking questions not because they want to know, but as an opportunity to mock and scorn.

Generally, I think He's talking about people that don't want to hear. In other words, don't waste time trying to convince someone refusing to believe. There are some people that just can't see the hope and grace in the Message. Pearls are nothing to pigs.

do not speak the mysteries of gods kingdom to unbelievers for this has happened to me so many times, what you say is too far advanced of their own wisdom and they will try to catch you messing up so that they may feel justified for their own sins. The dogs and swine are unbelievers

I think the dog and swine analogy refers to those who refuse to believe. Just my opinion not 'gospel' truth.

The Jews & Musims have this thing with pigs. Actually, pigs don't like pearls anyway. They're more partial amber & silver collars - white doesn't contrast well with pink or brown.
