I like two answers here and the other answers are not too bad either. I'm into the neural pathway thing. It has taken me over a month to learn my new cab number. My mind was so programmed I kept using my old number even with my new number written right in front of me. I must have some really deep programming from my childhood and who knows what from previous births (but that is another debate).
But, what is better programming? What is best programming? If we knew that we might better be able to decide how we want ourselves programmed.

You've established a behavior pattern. Your pattern is when you encounter adversity, challenges, problems, roadblocks, etc., you quit. You have convinced yourself that when this happens, you can't succeed, so you stop trying. It's the easy way out, since you don't have to keep working to achieve your goal. Obviously, quitting makes success impossible, making your choice seem valid.
Behavior patterns are very hard to change, but people do change them all the time. Behavior patterns are automatic ways of behaving that are learned over time. Actually, they are imbedded in the neurons. That is, brain cells in the cortex have grown together to form neural pathways that direct the automatic behavior. That's why they are so hard to change.
The only way to do that is to establish a new neural pathway that involves not giving up - determination, persistence, perseverance, whatever you want to call it. The next time the going gets rough, do something different - keep trying. Don't give up. Millions of people approach life this way and are rewarded with ultimate success. If you do this and experience success, you'll be well on your way to establishing a new pattern. Consistent repetition of the new pattern is what will make the neurons form a new pathway. Striving will seem easier with each triumph, small or large. It may take months or years of trying, but you can change. Of course, that kind of "stick-to-it-ness" isn't your current strength, so you have your work cut out for you.
Good luck.

Here's a great, yet smart-y answer: "*Don't* give up!" Now, you could also schedule some time to analyze WHY you want to give up--and you might indeed find that useful; but be sure to schedule sufficient time to deal with the thing you're wanting to deal with and stay with it until you're satisfied; this includes: reaching out to qualified others, asking for help (people love helping others, but few ask for help), spending your own time thinking, sketching out possibilities. It's interesting that the barriers will always be the path--by definition. And keep in mind that the very fact that you can think of something is sufficient evidence to show you it's possible. Of course, there's never a guarantee of something turning out a certain way, but if not attempted, you've guarenteed a zero result. Keep your own integrity & humanity's success in mind, in all things. So..."Just Do It!"

Well... you need to have time for your self and think.
ask yourself these following questions...
1. what motivates you
2. what do you think is causing you to give up easily
Are you distracted? If so... what is distracting you?
You NEED to find and admit to the root of the problem. you cant fix something you cant find, there is just no possible way.
I dont know in detail your situation; only that you give up on things constantly...
I have somewhat of the same problem... but its my work ethics,
im not concentrated enough, so i procrastinate which makes me fall behind on my work then things get tough and i give up or i struggle. IT SUCKS but i found the root of the problem and now im working at it. think about this when you hit rock bottom in life there is only one way to go and its up, so force yourself UP and make it happen, find all your good qualities and work hard to better them and perfect them. Find all your faults and work a system find out what other people do and see what works best.
REMEMBER there is only one way to go... UP.. so lift yourself, everytime you fall pick your self up and rest assured that what doesnt kill only makes you a stronger, better person.
Have faith In God as your Lord and Savior he is my inspiration, when im down he picks me up when im up he pushes me farther... Seek him in your life (if you havent already done so) and ask him to change your heart, and your life. have faith in him and you will see your prayers answered you DONT need to be pure of heart to contact him he searches for the broken so he can mend them back stronger spirtually, mentally and physically. No one here knows what you are going through, no-one here knows what i have gone through, only God knows and he is waiting for you to call him out. Good Luck i truly hope everything works for you.
If you ever need to talk to any one who will listen im here for you.
