I would think you need to throw it away ASAP. Lemon pie usually has a meringue on top, which is made of egg whites and eating egg whites that old would not be a good idea. Have you ever had food poisoning? If not it isn't fun and you don't want to try it. Just go buy a new pie...

The filling might still be ok since it's made with a ton of ascorbic acid, which is a preservative, however if there are any dairy ingredients they most likely have started to get rancid. The crust for sure if probably no good to eat since it's made of flour.
It also depends on what type of pie this is. If it's from a grocery store or restaurant, you can be sure it's starting to go bad. However, if it's a Hostess or other packaged pie it'll be good until after world war III. Yum!

any sort of food thats been kept just in the fridge for over 3 to 4 days should be dumped out, let alone over a month. Yuck!!!

I'm with others on here, after 3 days-out it goes. Things can look and smell fine, but that doesn't mean its safe to eat. Chemicals keep foods from breaking down but don't necessairly prevent food poisoning.

I don't think you should eat it. Lemon pie can definitely "go bad", even if it doesn't have eggs and/or milk in it, which it probably does. Sorry. :)

I wouldn't eat it. My rule is to throw it away after 3 days. Food poisoning is not a fun thing.

I don't know how you can tell, but I it's over a month and that's really pretty old.
It's not work getting sick over! I toss everything after a week.
