I personally would be flattered. Asking for advice doesn't make a person weird. They are just trying to get other people's opinion.

By here, do you mean in Answers? That would be hard to say because they would be asking millions of people. If you mean asking the person directly by pretending to ask a general question, I would probably be flattered.
