Legal immigrants,deserve all the benefits of being legal.
Why wouldn't I be nice to a fellow American.But then again I would not be rude to an illegal immigrant even tho I am totally against what they do.Until our government and we as a united people stop the company's and employers that hire the illegal,we are helping the illegal.We have good solid laws that state that it is a federal felony to help,hire,assist,aid and abet an illegal.
But it is not enforced.The ICE may raid a company but they only take the illegal workers.They must start arresting the company's officers,its Human Resources Dept.heads.Any one and every one that had knowledge that the workers were in fact illegal.
When that is done with zero tolerance,then and only then will we see the illegal stop coming to this country in droves.

There are a number of reasons:
1)Political Correctness. They are worried about being called racists and bigots.
2)Americans as a whole today chose to ignore problems until they get smacked upside the head with them.
3)White guilt. Many today would have white, middle class america feel as if they owe all minorities for the sins of the past, ie. slavery, slaughter of Native Americans, etc. And if we are not sorry, again, we are racist bigots.
4)Big business sees them as cheap labor.
5)Democrats see them as future voters.

Gosh, what country are you in? Here in the US of A, people are very rude toward immigrants ... and the only difference is that the bigots' great grandparents came here illegally (without permission of the Native Americans) a few generations ago, and the new immigrants are just arriving.

The wall that we are building is symbolic for the most part. It's really just to say to those people you just described " hey we know about you and were going to do something about it" It's starting! For right now I hang up on every person asking to speak to some one in spanish.
