Every morning I wake up with a sore throat. I do not sleep with a fan on, I do have allergies but take meds for it. The problem is, I take care of my grandparents and live with them for now. Their house has cockroaches, mosquitoes inside, fleas, and mice. Theyre too stubborn to get an exterminator and call us all crazy for seeing them but its pretty obvious theyre there. The house is so nasty. Could this be causing my sore throat and why my throat is filled with mucus and I lose my voice every morning and night>

Yes,That could be the problem, but you should call an exterminator!! All of those bugs can harm you,and your grandparents!! So I suggest that you get a solution for that problem fast!! And about the mucus,You should get ride of the bugs and that would help, but it's probably just your allergies!

cockroaches are a leading cause of childhood asthma. asthma is a severe form of an allergy. so the answer is yes. dust and mold are also probably a factor in your house. get some masks and clean the place up yourself. line up an exterminator on your own if you can. tell them it's a "present".

Yes, it is very possible that that dirty house is making you sick. And I don't mean just allergic.

When I was little, I used to know an old lady whose house was the same way. And every time I went to visit her, I would get sick. It got to where my mother would automaticly start cleaning the place when we got there because this old lady certainly wasn't!

I had the same problem, but I live in a clean house. What helped me is peppermint tea and vitamin pills, to build up the imune system, and to brush the teeth often.
