Not everyone does well at sports, so don't be embarrassed or disappointed if you simply don't have the sports "gene." Otherwise, figure out what kind of sports you like and work on those. If it involves running, put in lots of practice time running. If it involves strength, develop a workout that builds the right muscles.

However, don't think that you are required to do well at sports. You can still be a good person and not be outstanding at sports.

It may be that you haven't found the right athletic activity. I was always lousy at the regular team sports they had the guys play in gym class, football, basketball and softball. I eventually found I liked and had a talent for volleyball and tennis. There probably is a game for you that you will enjoy.

Physical conditioning plays a big part in one's ability to excell in sports. Strength training and aerobic conditioning are vital. Your best bet is to to join a health club and workout regularly. If that's not possible, try fast walking several times per week, plus doing push-ups, sit-ups, squats etc.
