My dog does that and I found out from the vet my dog had bad eye sight.. she's just young, but born that way. She charges at tree stumps, leaves..lots of stuff.

If it helps, I show my dog that there is no reason for alarm ..re: shadow by touching it myself, she seems to feel better that the shadow didn't react???!!

Put the dog on a leash and take him out for a walk. Springer's are active dogs that need exercise. When board, they will lash out at anything.

You could try turning on the lights. If he bites people that's a bigger problem! I would consult a vet or dog professional. You could try giving him an all natural dog tranquilizer (or even better, consult your vet) Your dog might also have a brain tumor or something. Is this a new behaivor?

Hire a professional trainer or consult an applied animal behaviorist. Could be Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Aggression requires expert help.

put a leash on him and every time he tries to attack the floor jerk on the leash till he stops. when he stops tell him hes a good boy. try to take him on daily walks it sounds like hes kinda bored.
