It really depends on a lot of factors. Each example would have to be considered individually. I don't think a single pat opinion would work here.
How long were they a couple? What was the relationship like before the cheating? What is the person's reason for forgiving, etc.?

I think that they are probably really in love with their significant other. However, they need to prepare for their significant other to cheat again.

Well it definatly depends on the couple. But people do make mistakes. Cheating is one of the worst things you can do to someone, it's like saying that they arn't good enough for you anymore or if they are far away, they arn't worth waiting for. But if you can find it in your heart to forgive someone of something like that, then I'd say that's love. Of course there are the execptions; dumb people just wanting to be in a relationship and contol issues. But for the most part, I'd say thoes people are the kinds of people worth loving and having in your life.

Once a cheater always a cheater by forgiving him/her lets them know that the next time it happens they'll be forgiven again. I wouldn't forgive them I would move on with my life. remember theres to many diseases to be had for a little bit of fun and pleasure.

Forgive maybe, but I doubt they'll ever forget. The trust has been broken, the betrayal and hurt and pain has been inflicted. They might want to cling to the cheater because it's more painful to let go, but they'll never forget and will usually do a passive-aggressive punishment on the cheater.

That depends on the situation...was it a one time thing? astanger fly by night...was it someone they see or were seeing all the time? I think they are strong and know what they want...but, if it happens again the significant other isn't serious enough. I believe in making mistakes....I forgave my ex for doing it to me, but she left anyway, apparently she wasn't serious about our relationship from the start.

It takes a lot to be able to say you're sorry and even more to say you forgive them. They're very brave and I think they're on the right path to happiness. However, I don't think I'd continue the relationship w/ my SO if they did...unless I was married then I could have to give it more consideration.

They must be very loving and understanding individuals, although maybe not the brighest bulbs in the drawer.
