If he is seriously in need of help take him to the hospital. I would think they would have a psychiatric ward. they can test him there and help him. Otherwise look in the phone book under mental health.

A lot depends on the state and county you live in. I don't know specifics about New Mexico but I do know many county health departments have assistance for those who are mentally ill, often payment is based on a sliding scale. I would check with those state and county offices first. Even if they can't help they are probably your best resource for finding something else.

I am not sure what is wrong with your brother my uncle is Scrizophrinc (or how ever you spell it) there are different laws for differnt states for mental health look it up. Go talk to a lawyer. Normally lawyers give free consulations.
If it is depression or a soething like that go through the yellow pages and look for Phycologists. (these are theones that don't perscribe medican) when he goes ans sees one talkto them about a good Phycorist (the ones the perscribe meds) that way they can work together

Call a Social Worker at your local hospital who will be able to help you.
Call your local Crisis Center.
Search the web: type in the name of your city, then Mental Health.
If your brother is likely to do harm to himself or others, call the police and ask for resources.

We'd have to know what the problem was, at least in general, in order to suggest a place to go. But if he refuses help you may have to get someone on your side to try to force him into it. This can really only be accomplished if he's a danger to himself or others, so it might be very difficult.

Talk to you personal doctor first, they will usually have good referrals. If not, try your local government dept. of health.
