I don't have the piercing now but when I did I couldn't eat anything because of that long tongue ring. So I just sipped on chicken noodle soup and jello

You pretty much don't want to eat anything too solid for a few days. Ice cream is your best bet for the first few days. It helps with the pain and keeps the swelling down also. You also want to make sure that you dilute mouthwash with water and rinse your mouth often throughout the day. After you eat, drink, smoke, etc. It keeps the infection away.
Hope this helps and congrats and good luck!

they are supposed to tell you when you get it done. You are not supposed to eat bread or anything that has yeast in it, spicy foods, or beer. There are a few others that i cant remember. you may want to call the piercing places and ask them for more specifics.

Well I dont think you will want to eat salt and vinagar chips or pickles! I think probably the vinegar will sting a bit.
