It's true, I tend to be nicer to my kin. I admit that I get combative at times with the believers. I tried not to but sometimes... gah... there's just no other way I can think of to put it. Yeah, it makes me feel good to know that I'm answering a faulty point with biting reality.

a pair cases it got here approximately that some thing somebody on R&S wrote has truly caught me. The words I examine needled me for a time and that i think of It made me loosen up out of one in each of those inflexible non secular outlook. I observe i'm much less vulnerable to look at scripture and extra vulnerable to look at issues in Nature. i'm actual extra optimistic than ever how little i'm optimistic approximately. My certainty that there is a writer and that we've a purpose and a purpose of existence maintains to be good none the less, yet i've got faith that the attitude to God may be as dissimilar as there are people contained in the international and that i assume issues are in basic terms rolling alongside as God would have it do. I now no longer point out God or Jesus or perhaps spirituality in any answer I do except the questioner asks in a fashion that shall we me comprehend that they are comfortable with such words. i think of that God is interior any message that encourages a individual to connect extra effective with others and which inspires a individual to step forward bravely or with any luck right into a miles better way of being, some thing that resembles love a sprint extra.

I have the same view as a dephic oracle on this issue. I ignore those who just plain disagree in a mean way. And, I only answer people who I don't agree with when the topic is something I feel I have to weigh in on.

It would get kind of boring if everyone who answered agreed with you, wouldnt it?
I think thats why the R&S board is one of the busiest boards on YA. There are constant back and forth from both side on every question. Granted some answers are ignorant and mean, from both sides, but i think that most questions are answered in the way they were intended.
The onl time I answer a question "meanly" is when its a completely stupid question meant to stir trouble and the questioner has no real intrest in the answers they are recieving.
BTW Jim, late last night you were on but the questions werent you typical questions. Was it really you or an imposter?

Yes, I do welcome people who disagree with me to answer my questions. The problem is, I don't ask too many questions. It seems like most of the questions have been asked. Sometimes I think of a possible question, but then I think about who is here, and most (not all), I don't really care to know their opinion. I'm speaking of people who are here just to post contentious answers.
I have on occasion posted a "mean" answer myself, and no I don't feel good about myself, but it's how I felt at the time.

When I ask questions I welcome all views whether they agree with mine or not. It does not serve me well to actually perhaps learn something if everyone was in total agreement.
When I answer I try to do so respectfully even if I don't agree with the question or opinion presented. Can I do it 100% of the time - no; however, I do make a conscious effort at it.

Yes I do--but if the same answer is on there five times already--get a life an move on--it's been said and you obviously aren't getting the ten points
that applies to people answering the question from my point of view as well

Great question. I usually try absurdist humor if I don't agree with someone. I also try to be as self depricating as possible while underscoring what it is I don't agree with in their question/statement.
I try not to come off as mean though. I don't want to simply gain-say in a snotty way what someone else has put forward. I try to build on the original statement.

there are plenty of people here I disagree with and yet I try to answer as best I know how stating the truth as I see it. if all others would do the same then it would be up to the asker to figure which answer was right or closest to the answer deemed correct.
