It seems to me that if there is a god, why does he pick on innocent kids, start wars, make earth quakes, sunamis, ETC I just dont get it , that some people can worship such wicked and spiteful entities, lets all have faith in each other and get on, instead of following unseen, unproved, figments of peoples imagination ,

First of all, If god was a woman, things would be set up a lot differently. If god was a male, women would have a third breast, one in the middle of their back ..............for slow dancing
Second, It seems that this god creature is so vain and vindictive that if you do not stroke it's ego by worshiping it in a highly proscribed manner, it sends you to an eternity of suffering in the fires of Hell. This sounds like a highly disturbed creature that is hardly worthy of respect, let alone worship.

Well, THAT god is evil, I agree with you. Jachweh always was bad, he even pretends to be the only one around. At the same time, he ordered his people to "not worship any other gods before me" (first commandment, hahaha). So, when there is only him, why would he need that commandment?
So we can go on and on...
Basically, I believe there are many deities around, and we have the choice to worship who we want to worship. That includes also the choice NOT to worship anyone. Free will, free choice.
All abrahamics (Jewish, Christians, Muslims) are fooled by Jachweh, and look around what his followers have done since monotheism became the major belief system.
In their own bible (old testament) you can actually read the people's complaints about Jachweh. They had been worshipping Ishtar (the "Queen of heavens") and all was fine, and when they were forced to give her up and only worship the new god, all went downhill from there. They actually kept that story in their book all these millenia, isn't that something.
I feel sorry for the poor Abrahamics, they are misled so badly by an evil wicked lying bastard who is only an impostor.
When about 10.000 years ago a huge meteorit came from outer space into the earth athmosphere, nobody could stop that. No deity was powerfull enough to stop that. But Jachweh actually jumped in and pretended HE did that. Yeah, he is so mighty (actually almighty, haha), and HE decided HE would now "punish" the "bad humans" down there on earth for not obeying him (or whatever crap).
He had nothing to do with that at all, but he pretended it was his work. When Demeter put up her rainbow in mourning the people, he also claimed that as his works.
Aaaaarrrrgh, I really don't like that guy!

Well if there isnt a God like you say all the trouble in the history of the world is caused by humans and like we've seen today in North Korea man doesnt want to get on with each other. The wickedness in the world has nothing to do with God. The bible says 1john5;19 'We know we originate with God,but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one'. This will end soon though when Gods original purpose for the earth will be fufilled Isaiah 55;10+11. If you have any serious bible questions please feel free to email me

Well maybe if god(s) exist they aren't all they claim to be.
Maybe their interests are not those of humans - so it is up to humans to look out for themselves.
Maybe they are just powerful entities, but not very bright and maybe not particularly compassionate. So they aren't exactly wicked, no more so than an if asteroid struck the earth and caused disaster. It is just doing what is its nature to do.
Maybe we are insignificant. Sure we make up stories that say the most important thing in the universe to this supposed God is human welfare, but maybe we are about as significant to it as bacterium is to a human. Sure, we care if it makes us sick or is commercially useful, but otherwise we really couldn't care less. Again not wicked, just not on our agenda.
But maybe if he/she/it wants to claim responsibility for all of existence, then you'd have to suspect that if not actually wicked, at least containing the potential for utter evil. Why? Because if nothing can exist outside of god, then all the potential for temptation, cruelty, pain and suffering is part of god. He/she/it could not have created pain, unless it was part of its nature. God could not have created a universe in which a Satan was possible, unless the very motivation attributed to Satan were part of god's nature.
Or else you just get on with life and commit leave fairy stories to the immature.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a God, religion is just a way of trying to control peoples behaviours and to give a meaning to their actions and lives.
There is an opposite to everything and evil is just the opposite to good, like happy is to sad or light to dark, you can't blame Satan or God (if you believe in them) but you can blame humankind.
Every animal has emotions, love, happiness, excitement, greed, anger, jealousy, hate, sadness etc but as humans we can show it better (or worse) then any other creature.
As long as emotions exist we will constantly be battling each other and that's before we even touch on the subject of peoples beliefs.
To sum up, people put faith in unseen, unproven entities because it gives meaning to their lives and makes them feel secure. Its the age old question "whats the meaning of life?" To alot of people its knowing that they will go to heaven or a type of paradise if they follow the "right path". What happens when you take their meaning of life away...? The unknown and we humans don't like the unknown.

Your perception of God is an a priori belief i.e. you have made up your mind what you believe about God based on hearsay then you describe God with words you have not heard from God.
God is quite capable of striking up a two way conversation with anyone on the planet at any time in its paltry history of ignorance but unfortunately its like shouting at the deaf and mute.
When a person gives a testimony about himself/herself there is always a niggling feeling that truth and imagination overlap so you can never be sure whether the description is reliably the truth or they are just a 'figment of their own imagination'. The borderline between imagination and truth is so thin we often hang innocent people because of our total ineptness at discerning truth from lies. Governments around the world are slaughtering innocent people everyday in the name of justice and the 'love for truth'.
Wickedness my dear friend is assuming that you have enough intelligence to judge another person correctly and the ulitmate wickedness is judging God without even knowing a single piece of information about Him.
There is a certain order in which truth is revealed and many try to short circuit the order by ranting about effects without understanding the cause. The evidence you have presented is the back end of the spectrum of cause and effect. If you want to understand the cause may I suggest you first endeavour to be born into God's kingdom. Without birth it is impossible to know God, to know the truth, and to know the cause.
If you wish to remain still born, stuck in the womb of the claptrap that comes out of universities and schools who teach the God doesn't exist, that's your choice. Believe me, when Christ comes again, it won't be to die again for unbelief.
Take my advice, get on the right side of eternity before it falls on the wrong side of you.

God isn't the one who causes the evil - he's the one you turn to when it all hits the fan! People use God as an excuse for all the evil and someone to blame when they don't have the courage to look inside themselves for the reasons for all the crap in the world. Hurricanes and tsunamis for example - these are on the increase because of global warming. Global warming is a man made world wide problem, not the wrath of God.

There is a devil God. He is wicked. He gets people to sin against God, & then goes ahead & causes destruction. God allows the devil to do destructive work depending on the behaviors / sins / idolatry of the people, or a nation, or a war act against Israel. Coincidentally, we got Hurricane Katrina after Israel withdrew from Gaza. We encouraged Israel to do that. That is why God didn't turn Hurricane Katrina away. The devil is the destroyer though.
Innocent kids get picked on by the devil. God will be their (childrens) avenger. Jesus said it would be better people would cut off their body parts if they couldn't help but offend the little ones to prevent them from ending up in hell fire. Also, Jesus warned it you be better for someone to have a weighted sling around their neck & thrown into the sea than to offend the little ones who believe in Him. Children are an example of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
The sunamis, earth quakes, 9/11, recent terror attack on school children, didn't blind sight God. God warned. People didn't understand the warnings or listen. Little children go to heaven though. Sinful adults who have rejected Jesus Christ Good News, don't.

God isn't wicked, mankind is. If we humans had been 10% nicer to each other since the dawn of time we'd have cured cancer instead of inventing the bomb, solved the mystery of earthquakes, tsunami's etc instead of making profits and empires.
Nothing can be blamed on God, only humans, we have boundless capacity for good so we need to use it rather than our boundless capacity for greed then we will solve anything that causes suffering.
