no you will not die with 128 oz of H2O daily unless you have some underlying medical condition that would prohibit that.
but young healthy and active should be ok
if you are in sports you may drink more than 6 8oz glasses of water which is the recommended amount in order to replace the fluid loss from being so active

you don't need to drink that much water in a day but it wont hurt. You'll definatly be hydrated which is never a bad thing.
