My Girlfriend ripped my heart to pieces May of last year when she cheated and left me for another guy. It felt hopeless at first cause I had been with her for 3 years but my friends were very supportive and they did things for me like to me to the movies, amusement parks, anything they could to take my mind off her. Like the one person said, don't get involved with anybody until you heal cause when your hurt, you will be more likely to settle for someone less than you normally would. U sound like a good person, use this situation to make yourself an even better person and don't let this bring you down.

Pick yourself up! Live happier than him! Never go back to him! When guys got the guts to dump u for once, he will do it again if u go back to him. Get yourself a new haircut, facial treatment, manicure, pedicure, anything u can do to make yourself look more attractive and more confident! =) i believe that after that u will get yourself a better man! Love yourself before finding your next love! Be happy! =)

I have heard, and it seems to be true that the hurt slowly eases, and it is pretty well gone after half the time of the length of your relationship.
That means if you are with someone 2 years, expect to hurt for about a year.
Hang with your friends, take good care of yourself, and don't do a 'rebound' relationship...

When another guy is attracted to you and makes you feel special. At this time, you'll feel that you're being appreciated and the hurt will vanish by itself. Try to look good all the time, because you won't know when is the prince charming is gonna show up. Throw all the stuffs that you guys have together that keeps memories and go to shopping or hang out with your girlfriends. Good luck!

how long were you together? years?? if years then- it can take months if you dated for months it will take a few weeks 2-3 to be exact. IF he dumped you for cheating- you'll get over it in a few weeks if he dumped you for another girl- it will take a few months

the hurt might take sometime, depending on how deep u were into things and how long u been together. focus on urself and find a hobby, go out w/ the girls and make sure u dont jump into anything too quickly or u will more than likely get played, again.

Give it time...
It's gonna suck for a while, but believe me time will heal your wounds.

Whatever you do, don't go out there looking for another man because we men smell your invulnerability like dogsh*t...
They'll take advantage of your pain and perhaps even hurt you more.

Also, please don't go on a "man hating" crusade.
What your boyfriend did to you was wrong, but he does not represent the male gender... So get over the "it's all the men's fault" business...

Just live your life to the fullest. Enjoy it, if not act as if you are
Be brave...

By the way... Wanna go out? *L*
