NEGATORY.

No i do not think the draft will be reinstated, unfortunately the fact is that our mistake in Vietnam showed one very important thing, that ground forces are almost useless when trying fight N. Korea, The fact is we are probably going to use our bombs and that will lead them to use theirs. I do not wish for any war, but i will proudly support our military. But i think ultimately this is going to be a war with bombs and chemicals. There will be no need for the draft.

I sincerely hope no war will happen and god bless those that do have to fight if we do. (The same for N. Korea or anyone else that would take part for the war.)

I personally think that whole country should be mobilized at once and a 4 year draft for every able bodied person under 40. The world does not take us seriously, nor should they. We are so lazy, so soft, so overfed, that an inevitable crash is coming in the next ten years. I wonder can we face the next major crisis facing the survival of our nation and successfuly pass through it this time. Sacrifice is certainly not our long suit. Congress spends all their time running for reelection and chasing teenage boys, so don`t expect anything but BS from them!

No way any sort of draft authorization gets past a Congress that has to get re-elected. The public is already up in arms about the Iraq war. Trying to reinstate the draft in preparation for yet another conflict would get just about every politician above the level of your local dog catcher summarily fired.

I think the way our government is invading other countries, groping at straws that it is possible. My son is already serving in Iraq in the Army. I do not want my other son to be drafed. We are fighting a senseless war wasting tax payers money. We are so far in deb that I don't ever think I will see us healthy again.

Liberals have been claiming that since before the 2004 election.

It wasn't true then and it isn't true now.

Also, the scare tactitc didn't work in that election and won't work in this one.
