My brother is getting married this Sat and I am a bridesmaid too. Any sugesstions on how I should do my hair? I have very long, thick, stick-straight hair. I just don't want my hair to look like a helmet. Anyuggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you asked the bride? Oftentimes the bride will have an idea of how she would like her wedding party to look like.

Since you are a bridesmaid, chances are that the bride will be putting her hair in an updo bun. So I guess you can leave some hair down in an elegant wavy half-up style with jewels in your hair(since you probably don't want to look like the bride). But to be sure, you might want to ask the bride first. If she's doing a hairstyle, then you should do a hairstyle that's different from hers. Same with all the other bridesmaids--nobody would like to see the bride dressed the same as the bridesmaid! Hope this helps.

well it depends on the dress. If it is a strapless dress, leaving your hair down will be best. Since you have straight hair, curling your hair could be an option. ( you could either curl it yourself with a curling iron or curlers, scrunching it, or you could go to a hairstylist and let them do all the work)If it has sleeves or straps, try a chic up do. Any hairstylist has books filled with up-do looks, so you could check some of those out. Also, surf the web looking for cute up-do looks. Good Luck!

Try an upside down french braid. Once you get to the top of your head put a nice hair piece in to hold it . Curl the leftovers into spirals and you can leave little strands out of it which you curl in to a spiral also. It is a very elegant look when done properly.

A bride chooses her maximum suitable and closest pals/relatives to be her bridesmaids. Being the sister of the groom under no circumstances ensures which you're asked to be a bridesmaid. and you may't stand her. you haven't any longer everywhere status together with her while she gets married.

Whatever you do, check with Bridezilla. She'll obviously want the last word on what she wants her bridesmaids to look like. If she wants all of you sporting shocking pink afros 5 inches thick, so be it!

I think you should wear your hair up. Wearing your hair up would be very cute, wear it like a updo. Have a beauty salon do it for you. You can curl it and then put your hair up with barrettes or bobby pins. Or you also can do a french braid that would look cute. If I were you, I would definitly wear my hair up. I hope that will work for you.

if down, u can make long, pretty waves and curls w/ mousse and hairspray!

if half up, half down, u can have a side part and kinda poofed up on top at the crown, w/ nice curled hair pinned up like a bun..the rest can be flowing and long, maybe wavy/curly

if all up, u can also have a cute side part and put pins and jewels in the bun...

are u getting hair done professionally or doing it yourself??? good luck :)

You could do a wrap bun with 2 strands of hair on either side or your ears and then curl them. Or a braided bun, or a french twist.
