i really like to show more than talk more. and really enjoy listening. how do i start to get men to open up more? using few words.

sometimes, like myself, men don't really talk about my feellings. which isn't a good thing, because i hold it all in until i explode. most of the time i can't even tell when i'm depressed. i'm sure a lot of guys are that way, because of the way most boys are raised. we are told from day 1 quit crying when we get hurt. so you grow up doing this until you have to release it somehow. depending on the person, it could range from crying it out, to climbimg a clock tower. as far as getting them to open up to you, that may take a long time. good luck

That is going to be tough, because most men don't like to talk. Your best bet, is to do some of the following...
1. Ask open ended questions.
2. Find something he loves and ask him about it. Men love to talk about what they love. (Sports, music, cars, women, etc.)
3. Don't be afraid to talk about the taboo. Everyday conversation is boring for men.
4. Ask him questions that really challenge and show his persona. Questions like "What would you do if you were granted a super power?"

Get them to talk about themselves and be a good listener to them, also ask questions. Give them your undivided attention.
