You go through life miserable over someone who isnt miserable over you.... Now how much sense does that make?

I usually wouldn't suggest this but is some cases if this is truly killing you, get a rebound guy. Make sure you keep a distance but enough to get over your ex. Let the rebound guy know up front that you are not looking for anything serious and that you just got out of a relationship. If he is a normal man he will take you up on that offer and assist you in any way. Good luck.

Remember him with fondness but accept it. I still think of someone after 17 years - don't want him back, fully realise it was a big mistake, but I didn't stop loving him. I've moved on, am married and love my husband totally. I would never exchange my life now for the life I used to yearn for.
So over time, you will put it in a corner of your life, look back with love, and move on. Enjoy what you've got. It is possible. You can take control. Good luck.

Evenwhen you know you should move on, it can be very hard. Only time will help you get over him. Don't sit around thinking about him. Just live life. Get out there and do stuff, call your friends, anything to keep your mind off him. Whatever you do, don't continue to talk to him or let him be a part of your life. You will soon realize you don't need him, you are fine without him.

You have to. I can relate trust me. I just broke up with someone who I thought was my everything. It's because he made me feel that way. He made me feel like I couldn't do anything without him. He really mentally abused me, I was with him for 2 years. I did everything for him while he took my emotions and used them against me. He is still trying to get back with me. I can't go back. I need to be strong and find myself again. I took him back 2 times already and he thinks that this is a game. Try to hook up with your friends and do something with them. Get out of the house , do something. Keep really busy. Take a piece of paper and write down the good and the bad and if the bad outweighs the good, then you know that you need to keep moving on. Think of what type of future you will have if you stick with this person. Good luck on what you do

It's hard but you do other things to get over it been in that situation for the past eight years but I date other people but my mind is always on him and what he's doing but then you could write a letter to him with all your feelings down on never give it to them but at least you got it out of system. You will never get totally over them Sorry But Good Luck On that

sometimes it will be hard to get over someone, especially when they were everything u wanted. i had that and after that everyone has been well short of the high expectation. but then again, maybe someday someone will come up just like ur last person did, out of nowhere. i still have hope, and althou it took me quite sometime, i dont think about that person anymore.

That guy wasn't your Mr right. You haven't found him but guess what he is still out there and when you meet him he will not be disappointed. Do not change be yourself. I am a good judge of Character and i know you have a good heart. and its your heart that will lead you to Mr Right. Good luck
