Chiropractors are "bone" doctors. They adjust and manipulate the alignment of your joints. They are especially good at treating back problems and neck problems. I have even heard of persons with chronic migraines being cured by regular "adjustments" in their neck from a chiropractor. Most chiropractors advise getting "adjusted", or rather coming in and getting your joints "popped" once a year, unless you have a more chronic problem.

As with any medical set-up you do have to be careful. I have had two good chiropractors but I have been lucky. Some can do more damage than good so I recommend finding one via word of mouth. Talk to someone who has been treated by them before going.

Actually, traditional chiropractors methods will lead to arthirtis of the spine. The twisting & popping is NOT good for your spine. What you need is REALIGNMENT!!!!!
Do yourself a favor.. Contact the NATIONAL UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTIC RESEARCH ASSOCIATION, INC. & request a QUESTIONS & ANSWERS GUIDE & a NEW PATIENTS GUIDE.
Also ask them if there is an UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTIC DOCTOR in your area... Their techniques are safe on the spine & rebalancing the body will keep all of your systems functioning properly. Please check this out, my husband & I go to one in our area as do our 3 boys....

I would guess there is a website for the NUCCA, but here is their address just in case.....
