Most other religions didn't come from the bible, most of them were actually being followed during the life of Christ and before.
There are many different translations for very good reasons let me give you an example.
the bible says " In my Fathers house are many mansions, I go to prepare one for you." Now we all know what that means.
But to an native uncivilized person from the jungle the word mansion is not known, so you have to use a word they understand, There is a tribe (I forget where) that has a saying that a friend is welcome by the fireplace, (their fireplace is a hole in the ground with burning coals, or wood in it) So for the above scripture to mean anything to them you would have to translate it like this "In my Father's house are many fireplaces, I go to prepare one for you." that they would understand.
The different translations may use different words but the context is more often than not the same, look up the process by which a new translation is written, see the process and the team of Scientist, Shcolars, and writers who revise, and revise it, I may make more sense to you.
Christians are acutally mentioned in the bible in the book of Acts, so Christianity is actually the first religion talked about, it didn't spawn from some other religion.

A lot of Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Sihks and others are deviating from their basic teachings, because the "path" is narrow and is very difficult to follow. ("unrealistic", “not logical”, “impractical” etc.) So they look for and addopt passages in their holy books that are more "real life".
That’s why we have Jihad and why we had “holy wars” and why we are still condemning and fighting “the others” (infidels or whatever!). That’s also why we have various fractions of Muslims or Christians or Jews or Buddhists etc., though they ALL teach the wisdom of compassion and forgiveness.
For instance: many believe that killing in "certain" circumstances can be "justified", example: selfdefence or death penalty or "just war".
However, ALL! the above have been taught that to love (respect) God, our Creator, with their whole being and above all earthly "things" and to think and act with compassion and forgiveness toward their fellow (wo)men (including our enemies!) is the right way for any person to live and achieve inner PEACE.
According to those wisdoms killing, or even hating and judging, is Not an option. (Someone should tell G.W. Bush! He claims to be a Christian! or others who claim to kill in the name of "religion".)
Just imagine! If all "Christians", Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Sihks and Jews would willingly (not because they have been told) act out of compassion toward the "others" (as they were taught!) there truly would be peace on Earth!
Unfortunately we are not perfect and to bear "our cross" often seems too hard (or illogical, or "unscientific). - No, I'm not perfect either!
That's why we have to learn to be honest to ourselves and admit that we have failed, again and again and again, and resolve to (at least try to) do better next time!
Because WE are not perfect we also have to forgive others for offences they may have committed against us.
We can then ask for forgiveness and get "peace of mind" - until the next time.
As someone put it: "To Love is the answer - whatever the question".
I wish ALL religions and denominations would remember that!

The bible can be manipulated in order for it to work best for them. Heres and example, The king of england many many moons ago decided, I want a **** load of wives, but darn it the bible says no to divorce, Oh wait! ill make a new religion where divorce is allowed and now im an anglican, all follow me!
Basically thats how it works. People either like to follow the bible exactly or make it work best for them, its usually a king or some kind of monarch

From the Bible I assume you are you are speaking of the Holy Bible used by the Christian faith. All that believe in Jesus Christ are Christians. Originally they were all Catholics. Then the Catholics disagreed about an issue and made two churches. Later a group of Catholics didn't agree with the way the Catholics believed and protested against them- creating the Protestants. All Christians that aren't Catholic are Protestants. The protestants split into different denominations based on their different interpretations and understanding of the scripture. In these denominations you have Baptist, Methodist, Jehovah Witness, Pentecostal, etc. It is basically a difference in interpertation and practice.

Christians are properly conscious that it became written by using many diverse hands. in spite of if, reckoning on the Christian in question they might have diverse suggestions approximately who wrote the e book. some beleive that the Bible is God's very own be conscious as he labored by using those hands that wrote it and inspired them, some have self belief that it became written by using folk who experienced God's works first hand. some might take all of it thoroughly actually mutually as others will veiw maximum persons as being a metaphor from situations as quickly as we've been much less clever as a species and needed issues to be broken down in much less annoying to comprehend words. To Christians the Bible is Holy by way of fact they have self belief it includes, a minimum of in some section, God's very own suggestions and words as to how the international works, what got here approximately in historic situations, tells you advice on a thank you to stay and what you are able to anticipate when you die. there are countless philosophical justifications for the existence of God [all of which fail to impact me in my view] and so some human beings do have self belief that God exists, wherein case little faith is had to have self belief that he might have written, in some trend [IE by using prophets] countless texts. there is a few data that activities interior the Bible extremely did take place, and so there is a few justification for believing areas of it, and in case you think in God and function the Christian mentality of religion without data, then it is extremely ordinary to confirm how they are able to beleive the areas different religions do not. additionally, there is not something 'in simple terms' approximately books. Books are suggestions made actual, and suggestions are eternal and effective issues. Books have began wars, been motivations for murders and smear campaigns, have been the source of secret socieities, have held the main scandalous secrets and techniques and a few effective truths. Books are to not be underestimated.

There are so many that interpret the Bible to mean what they want it to mean. Most of the people that interpret the Bible are so closed minded that they will not listen to any contradictory opinions. All of the founders of the modern day religions were men and we all know that men never think they are wrong.

If you start with the Old Testament the first, followers of the Bible were Jewish. Then Christians wrote the New Testament. The very first original form of Christianity was Catholicism. Jesus chose the 12 Disciples to go out and spread the word. He said to Peter "Upon this Rock I will build my church." Peter founded the Catholic Church in Rome as Jesus instructed. For thousand years this was the only form of christianity. Then came Protesters. Martin Luther and Calvin for example. They rebelled against the church, and developed their own interpretations of the Bible. They are now referred to as Protestant. Then some of their own members rebelled against them and so on and so on. Now there are hundreds of forms of Christianity, all with different interpretations of the same bible. You have to decide for yourself who most accuratly interprets it. If you choose to base your spiritual beliefs on Bible interpretation.

There was only one religion that came out of the Bible and that is the Jewish religion. They were God's chosen people and God told them to do certain things because the Lord Jesus Christ had not died for their sins at that time. They rejected Him as their King and had him killed and God blinded them and then He turn to the whole and offered salvation as a free gift to all that would believe that He had died for them. Religion is man made. It where you have to do something to please God. We are living in the age of grace where God has done it all for us. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Because people read the bible and then manipulate it to say what they want by taking one or two bible verses out of context and applying it as 100% truth.
