Hypothetically, you need to get a program to remove the blocker on the dvd its called "Any DVD". Then hypothetically you would buy a program called Clone DVD to burn it.

Hypothetically speaking, you need DVD decrypter, but it is no longer available, search for FAB DVD Decrypter hypotheticaly. Then, unless you have a dual layer recorder and want to pay a lot for disks, you will need DVD shrink or DVD2ONE. This would hypothetically reduce the size of the movie file to under 4.7GB, then it would burn do a DVD R disks so when you go on a trip you can take your 'archived' movies and not damage or lose your good movies that you 'purchased'. Hypothetically speaking of course.

AnyDVD and DVD Shrink combined will work for most things you want to backup from your own movies. AnyDVD there is a charge for but it removes most protection - probably illegal in the US. DVD shrink will make the movie fit on a 4.7 DVD and is free.

Hypothetically, you could use DVDShrink...it is a free program that makes a perfect 1:1 backup copy...of course this should only be used with your own collection.
