When you go to bed at night what are you thinking about? Are you thinking about what the next day will bring...or what you should do about something...?

My thoughts vary, but usually I think about my current life situation, my kids, job, social life etc. I also think more of the past than what I anticipate to happen in the future.

I pray before I go to bed. I pray about my husband, my kids, friends and those who have shared things with me that need prayer.
It is a priviledge to pray - and most often I fall asleep before I am done. So I just finish in the morning when I awake.

I started doing this when I had insomnia and couldn't turn my mind off of things I had to do the next day - and I would get anxious over different things!

I think about the things I am thankful for that happened that day which is a positive thing and relaxing. I pray as I go to sleep that God will protect me, that He will forgive my sins and that I can start over the next day with a clean slate. A guilt-free mind can put you to sleep really fast.

I try to breath deeply and keep most thoughts out of my mind. Thinking about the past and planning the future are not good things to dwell on when you need rest. There is really nothing you can do about the past and the future will be there when you wake up. I try to allow my mind to close to any thought and then I say out loud 3 times "I will have good dreams."

Its usually what transpired during the day, if there is a need to analyze things, I do that most often before going to bed...

If there is none, then I read a book to help me fall asleep.

I think about my day and if i got done every thing done i was suppose to. Then i think about the next day and line things out in my mind. If my spouse comes in i usually stop, have sex, then fall asleep.

I try not to think about anything before bed because it tends to keep me awake. If anything I try to get all reality far far away by focusing on something I would enjoy dreaming about. I might put relaxing music on(no words). Noise tends to keep my mind and body awake.

After I say my prayers I just let my mind begin to wander and LA-LA land here I come. Works everytime.
