Have you ever had or currently having a car that has a navigation system if yes then how accurate that thing works....is it worth buying a car with factory navi system or its better to save some bucks and go with the non-navigation vehicle.

We did.

But for you, it really depends on how well you read maps and how often you get lost using directions from the internet.

The nav software in our Prius also came with a yellow pages list.

Being able to start from where ever you are to your destination is prices less if you are bad with maps.

Not having to plug in and remember the unit, not to mention having to hide it when parked seems a benefit too.

Drawbacks: Unit is more expensive than a after market one and updates will be more too. You do get a better screen and added features which brings the list price down from $2500 to between $1000 and $1500.

I only like it and think it's pricey, but i do maps. My wife will NOT buy another car without it. (never gets lost again).

I don't believe so, but if you do a lot of city to city driving and need directions, then it is worth the price. Just remember, updates to the system are not free, so expect that in future maintenance.

If you get lost a lot it probably will help. But I would just go to mapquest for free.
