Avoid Dole salads!

Checked .... This is true.

Bagged Salad - Bad Stuff!
NBC Dateline did a documentary on cut-up lettuce and spinach packaged in
plastic bags. They took us through the whole process and talked about how
the Ecoli bacteria is now showing up in the salad mix in bags. They don't
know yet how the Ecoli got in, but they do know that deaths and serious
sicknesses are occurring in many states.

One woman told about how her child was near death from the lettuce and was
sick for a long time. They warned u s not to buy any bag salads until they
find out from the investigation what is causing this contamination.

The Dole Company has recalled their bags. See the link below.

jazz meeh, your info is outdated (April 30, 2006.)

This is what is current...

FOXY initiated a voluntary recall of green leaf lettuce. Products were distributed in Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Lettuce it self has not been contaminated that they have seen so far, they pulled it off the shelves to be safe as they think the water irrigation system has been contaminated. That was what I read and heard on the new as of this morning.

properly, i might probable say contaminated beef. E Coli infested spinach, does not sound too appetizing, yet considering that i like my hamburger helpers and my cheeseburgers (i understand, thoroughly undesirable) i might desire that fastened than the spinach which i like yet hardly devour.

Thank you for letting me know. I had heard it was just the "Foxy Lettuce" brands that were bad. I hadn't heard about Dole salads yet. Thanks again.
