Dude. I have VERY small breasts. I don't even have an A cup size, so in society's standards...maybe I'm not a woman?
Society pisses me off. I was watching Final Destination 3, the first 2 being awesome movies. Well, it got to the part in FD3 where the two preppy bitches got NAKED basically, with their huge boobs just being slapped in your face. It pissed me off. There's never any amazingly, hott, huge penises in any movies like that, but you can always count on the huge boobs and the beautiful blonde.
The media pressures people into believing that you have to have a C-cup and a size 0 to be pretty. You have to have perfect shiny hair, clear skin, perfect feet, perfect teeth, silky smooth legs, and a tan. Well, **** THE MEDIA. Real people do not look like that, and when you meet guys that are dissapointed because they can't find anyone that looks like that picture perfect model in Playboy, you realize how bad judgements are on physical appearance. Bullshit I tell you BULLSHIT.
If you're healthy, and your not obese, don't worry about it. I might be close to flat chested, but I don't give a ****, because we're all human. Just think of it this way...would you rather be healthy and happy, or starve yourself to death to fit society's mold? And all the girls you see walking around with their **** hanging out and their fake *** **** being slapped in your face...just think..."That woman is fake." Because in actuallity...
They really are. I'm totally for your question. And I'm glad somebody finally asked.

Notions of beauty are different between cultures and time periods. It's very inaccurate to say that EVERYONE thinks bulimic women are attractive, many skinny girls have never had boyfriends and agonize over how flat-chested they are.
Right now, US newspapers are raking Nicole Ritchie over the coals for being disgustingly thin. And as someone else pointed out, a major fashion show in Spain last week banned any models they deemed too thin, from participating.
Look at the sculpture of Venus De Milo and paintings from the Renaissance era- those were NOT skinny women! In many Caribean and African countries, really large women are considered the most attractive.
As long as you're healthy and comfortable in your own skin, that's what matters. Fads will come and go, don't give them a second thought.

No, they are sick and need help. An anorexic looks in the mirror and sees fat, any other person looking at the anorexic sees a bony, underweight, sickly person. Anorexia is a disease and if you or someone you know is anorexic or bulimic, please see medical attention immediately. You will stop getting your period, your hair will become thin and fall out, your nails will be brittle, you could have a heart attack, stroke and many other deadly medical conditions. Beauty comes from within, I speak from personal experience, girls please stop thinking that being skinny makes you beautiful. You can be healthy without being anorexic, you need medical and emotional help and support. Take care and good luck.

I think that your question is a crude and sweeping generalization about thin people. Just because some women are thinner than others doesn't mean they are bulemic or anorexic. My point is that when you jump to conclusions like these, based on another woman's appearance, you're just as bad as the people you're complaining about. Beleive it or not, all you're doing is judging people on their weight.
This question sounds as if your problem is not the fact that society has a "type" that is deemed as attractive, your problem is that the criteria has not been dicatated to the mainstream public that YOUR particular body style is "sexy". What I'm getting from this question is that it's okay to judge people about their weight, as long as it's the thinner people that are being judged.
To be honest, I'm about 15-20 pounds overweight for my height. Instead of sitting around complaining about it, or sitting on my computer answering questions, maybe I should do something about it?

society has always portrayed skinny is sexy, I believe that isn't real because if your healthy and take care of yourself that is what really matters. Women have always been the center of the society whether or not they believe that. Women have to stand up for themselves and love themselves before anyone can love them. All men are different just be yourself and try your best not to buy into the Hollywood stereotypes because no one actually looks like that. It's fake its Hollywood. Lastly, skinny girls are gross.

I'm a guy, and I like athletic girls, plump girls, and even some fat girls. So do many other guys. Let the fashion industry promote stick figures, I don't want one.
If you do interesting things, and enjoy your life, along the way you will meet a guy who wants to share that.
Don't be concerned about the fashion world.
Just take good care of yourself, and smile when you can.

I know this isn't answering your question, but I just heard last Friday that most of the usual runway models in Milan were fired because they were too skinny, now the 'Twiggy" look is out and curves are in, yay! :)

hon, if your healthy thats all that matters. who cares what the guys think. those who only go for the skinny ones are shallow. if they are not willing to look past the surface, then they arent good enough for you.
society is society. they think skinny is pretty. and i dont think, nor do i believe that all guys view anorexic, gaunt, girls as pretty. they look sick.

women are supposed to have curves!! a little overweight is fine as long as you are healthy and not slowed down or restricted by your weight. i am sure if you dress correctly (no midriff showing or dressing like a size one) you are very sexy, try to show off your best traits, and meet a guy who notices you for you and not your little a**!!

i am a big person also. i get nasty remarks every 5 minutes. don't listen to other people's bullshit. it it a malfunction in society because everyone is afraid to be themselves. people cannot accept imperfection. it is a falsity in our culture. i personally don't care what people think. love yourself and be happy. all you ever have is you. don't let them tell you any different.
