he makes me feel guilty, always. we had a pizza together and i went home right after and he told me that i was using him for pizza. he wouldn't let me leave his place until i got off 4 times. i just want to make him happy. how can i do this?

Whao... hold up... you say.. 'ex boyfriend' and then you say 'i just want to make him happy'.
Your not going to make him happy. Use the term ex-boyfriend literally and make him an EX relationship. Don't go eat with him, don't talk to him, say goodbye and let it go. He'll find his own happiness with out you.
Break it off solid and then stick to your guns. If not.. HE WILL ALWAYS HAVE CONTROL OVER YOU.
Here's a piece of advice. In a relationship, if your feeling are a lot stronger than the other person's feeling toward you then unless you have strong self confidence you will always be controlled by the other.

OK i am guessing here that pizza means sex at least that's what it sounds like but either way stay away from him if you have to get your number changed so he cant call you and stay away from the places you know he goes a lot. Don't worry about making him happy its your happiness that matters and if cared about you in the least he would understand that and let you move on.

Tell him how your feelings are. The best key is talking. If you and him cant have a conversation than why are u wasting each other times. If he knows how u feel maybe he will look at things a little different. Maybe you should try to by him some pizza?

First of all, he's your ex boyfriend so you really don't have to do much for him... if he invited you to have a pizza, I don't see how you're using him for that... second of all, you need to stop worrying about how to make him happy, you need to make yourself happy, not someone that doesn't want to be with you.

Why do you want to make an EX happy? He's an ex for a reason, and if he just can't move on it's his problem.
Get yourself a new boyfriend, just go out with friends, or hang out playing video games all day.. but tell you're ex you're done and don't call or take calls from him.

That's your problem...you're too worried about pleasing him and not about what makes you happy. When you start loving yourself more, you can then find time to worry with him. He doesn't have any control over you, nobody does, YOU have control over EVERYTHING about you. So stop letting him have that power or he'll run you over. If he feels the NEED to control you, tell him to find another woman that will put up with it, but you're not that girl...

Your boyfriend will never be happy. He get off on controlling you and he always will. He belongs in the category of those people who; Even if its good I won't like it.
Find yourself a boyfriend that wants to make you happy and stop catering to your ex. Make that EX permanent and solid and go on to someone decent.

you need to let go and drop him like he's on fire. I know someone that is worse off than you. She ended up having to go to a shelter for battered women, because control is a type of abuse as well. She is still there and just now starting to get over it. Leave it as soon as possible...."Just say no!" Seriously, do it now or you'll NEVER be able to do it...once he gets comlete control, you'll be naked at all times in his presence, you be blowing his friends on command..and that's just the stuff you'll enjoy by comparison...guys like that become extremely abusive. DO IT NOW!!!!
